Custom Home Design:
Just as the title suggests, this service is for complete custom home design service. Starting by using a simple questionnaire, then becoming increasingly more involved, have your dream home designed by a Professional Building Designer as recognized by the American Institute of Building Design. Dedicated to providing the best service possible, your home will be designed to criteria set forth during our design meetings. Using various pictures, provider selection books, and 3 dimensional views of the home in progress, every detail, from footings to ridges will be accounted for. Once the design process ends, your construction plans will be prepared, any and all specifications written, and the project can then move forward to the permitting, and finally the construction phase.
Conceptual Design:
Just as the name suggests, conceptual design services are offered on various types of projects. Residential, Commercial, Industrial Parks, New Construction, Remodel/Room Additions, any thing that needs designed, I can design for you! Conceptual designs are used fro various reasons, including financing, estimates, community input, design challenges, and many more. Conceptual designs are "no-strings attached", meaning, that once a concept is developed, you are free to pursue other options. Of course, having the final plans prepared with us saves time and money. Fees for this service are billed hourly, and require a $325.00 non-refundable retainer at project onset.
Aging in Place Design:
The CAPS or Certified Aging in Place designation was created by a joint effort of the National Association of Home Builders, and the AARP (American Association of Retired Persons), and is awarded to builders, architects/designers, health care professionals, real estate professionals, and any other person working in and around the housing industry, that completes, and passes, a set of courses given by the NAHB’s University of Housing. These courses prepare industry professionals to deal with the ever increasing age of our population. Whether you need to update, or retrofit an existing home for special needs, or have your retirement home designed with aging in mind, a CAPS professional is just what you need. Ask if your designer is taking advantage of Universal Design Principals, and if not, call Joey. For more information on the CAPS program, go to www.aarp.org/caps.
